<p data-start="3464" data-end="3907">The ideal candidate holds a degree in Civil Engineering and is a registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario with a minimum of four years of progressive land development experience. You will possess strong technical expertise in site development, municipal servicing, stormwater management, and grading design, along with a thorough understanding of municipal standards, approval processes, and regulatory requirements within Ontario.</p>
<p data-start="3909" data-end="4290">Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, PCSWMM, and/or EPANET is essential, as is experience preparing engineering reports, technical studies, and development approval submissions for land development projects. The successful candidate will have the ability to stamp and seal engineering drawings and reports, taking professional responsibility for design work and project deliverables.</p>

<p>We are seeking an experienced Contractor - Standard Costing to lead an end-to-end costing and inventory optimization initiative within a manufacturing environment. This role will be based out of a facility in near Paris ON, with a preference for candidates located in the GTA or Hamilton area (approximately 1-hour commute) who can attend the site as required to gather data, work with operational teams, and validate on-the-ground processes. This is a project-based engagement that will include establishing sustainable systems and simplifying processes that can be maintained long-term by internal teams.</p>
<p>The <strong>Contractor</strong> will take ownership of the current costing process and rebuild a structured, accurate, and practical standard costing and inventory framework. This includes both operational and financial components, requiring close collaboration with plant personnel, engineering, and finance stakeholders.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>

<li>Take full ownership of the existing standard costing process and redesign it end-to-end</li>
<li>Conduct detailed labor time studies to establish accurate production standards</li>
<li>Develop and/or refine Bills of Materials (BOMs) for manufacturing processes and products</li>
<li>Design and implement a clear overhead allocation methodology aligned with operational realities</li>
<li>Build and document standard costing models for ongoing use</li>
<li>Review and improve inventory valuation and tracking processes</li>

You will demonstrate strong attention to detail and the ability to consistently meet tight deadlines, particularly during month-end and quarter-end close cycles. Highly organized and adaptable, you are comfortable managing competing priorities within a fast-paced, high-volume environment. You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, applying sound professional judgment under pressure, along with clear and effective communication abilities. Proficiency in MS Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUPs and pivot tables, is essential, along with the ability to quickly learn new financial systems. Familiarity with IFRS and/or US GAAP and experience working within publicly listed organizations in Canada or the U.S is highly desirable.
