About our Client

Our client, a well-established company in the food manufacturing sector, is seeking a Shipper/Receiver to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where you will play a key role in the shipping, receiving, and organization of goods. The hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. The pay rate is $19.50 per hour

Responsibilities

  • Drive a forklift.
  • Prepare products for shipping.
  • Oversee the reception of goods (raw materials, empty pallets, etc.).
  • Load and unload products and goods (raw materials, empty pallets, etc.).
  • Complete shipping and receiving documents.
  • Properly store products and goods in the warehouse, respecting allergens.
  • Organize and rotate inventory in the warehouse.
  • Correspond with external carriers.
  • Ensure that internal and external carriers adhere to delivery and receiving schedules.
  • Prepare current orders in certain production departments.
  • Ensure the warehouse is kept clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
  • Perform all other duties related to the position.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Forklift Operator
  • Must have a valid forklift certification (Class 2 and Class 4/5)
  • Steel-toe boots and a safety vest
  • Hard-working and reliable
