About the Role:
Our client, a leading private event venue in the Greater Toronto Area, is seeking an experienced Venue Sales Representative to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is responsible for driving sales growth across social and corporate markets while providing exceptional client service throughout the event lifecycle. The ideal candidate will bring a polished, proactive, and relationship-focused approach to building and maintaining a robust client pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute a strategic sales plan aligned with annual targets and revenue goals
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective and repeat clients across social and corporate segments
- Manage leads and communications through CRM platforms
- Prepare and deliver weekly sales reports to leadership
- Collaborate with clients to develop event plans, pricing, and proposals aligned with business objectives
- Ensure timely execution of contracts and payment collection
- Liaise with internal teams (culinary, operations, coordination) to ensure seamless event delivery
- Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions
- Support continuous refinement of sales strategies and client engagement processes
Requirements:
- Seasoned sales representative in the venue and hospitality space.
- Able to explain during the interview that you can establish a customer base both from your existing book of business, and by nurturing inbound leads
- Enjoys work 5 days / week (daytime hours) onsite in Mississauga) which will include alternating weekends and if required, the odd stat holiday
- 3–5 years of experience in event sales, venue management, or hospitality sales
- Demonstrated success in closing high-value bookings and building lasting client relationships
- Experience with inbound and outbound sales, including cold calling and prospecting
- Strong knowledge of event planning, food & beverage operations, and hospitality best practices
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Highly organized with strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a polished, professional presentation style
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across departments
- Proficiency with CRM platforms and digital sales tools
