About Our Client

Our client, located in the Oakville area, is a public accounting firm looking for a US Tax Accountant to join their team! This permanent opportunity will be in the office 2-3 days a week. Reporting to the US Tax Manager tasks will follow:

Responsibilities
  • Will deliver US tax compliances in a timely manner
  • Prepare and review US corporate and tax filings
  • Cross boarder tax planning
  • Research tax issues and present conclusions to the shareholders or partners
  • Work closely with Partners to provide innovative tax planning ideas to a variety of clients
  • Serve as a trusted tax advisor
  • Other ad-hoc duties are required
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of U.S tax experience including tax planning, tax compliance, corporate and cross boarder
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting and/or Finance
  • Strong knowledge of US personal and corporate domestic tax
  • Experience using either CaseWare, Caseview, or TaxPrep
  • Self-motivated individual with strong attention to detail
  • Asset if Pursuing or has US or Canadian CPA or MTax
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with various stakeholders
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to juggle multiple deadlines and engagements
