Work Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary Range: $60,000 – $70,000 base (flexible based on experience) + monthly commission + car allowance and other benefits including pension & RRSP match

About Our Client:

Our client is a leading provider of construction solutions supporting concrete cutting, coating, scanning, and structural services across commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. They are recognized for delivering high-quality project support, strong operational collaboration, and reliable field service execution.

They are hiring a Technical Sales Representative with a Civil Engineering background to manage a designated territory, scope projects onsite, and ensure accurate material coordination. This role offers autonomy, strong earning potential, and long-term growth within a stable and well-respected organization. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and confident managing technical conversations with clients and jobsite teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new customer relationships to expand market share
  • Visit job sites to scope projects, conduct material takeoffs, and gather technical details
  • Manage the full project sales cycle, including pricing, discounting, quoting, and turnover
  • Coordinate with internal Operations teams to ensure accurate materials and systems are shipped on schedule
  • Develop a deep understanding of company products, pricing, competitors, and market trends
  • Maintain and grow business with existing customers, ensuring long-term account satisfaction
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline with accurate forecasting
  • Respond to customer inquiries, issues, and escalations in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborate with Finance to monitor outstanding invoices and support payment follow-up
  • Negotiate trading agreements and pricing structures with customers
  • Establish trust with customers through consistent communication and reliable service
  • Provide regular internal reporting on ongoing business activity and market insights

Required Qualifications:

  • Civil Engineering degree or diploma (mandatory; no other engineering disciplines accepted)
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, technical sales, or construction-related account management
  • Background in construction, concrete, civil infrastructure, or related technical environments
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to learn complex product systems, pricing structures, and logistics processes
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Professional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and customer-focused mindset
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites regularly
