Job Description
Our Client:
This innovative technology company provides solutions for industrial market needs. They are looking to add a full-time Technical Product Owner to their growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for selecting established applications
- Coordinate resources to ensure timely delivery of software updates and any hardware required
- Hold meetings with involved staff to plan the above
- Hold meetings with company stakeholders to report on the above
- Ensure adequate internal testing is performed
- Ensure smooth deployments to customer
- Interfacing with customers to train and assist with process configuration and setup
- Update firmware/hardware and application software as needed to manage ongoing maintenance
- Be the point of contact for troubleshooting
- Collaborate with our Field Applications team for deployments and testing
- Work with customers to determine requirements for new features
- Implement and/or direct developer to change application software as needed
- Interface with the firmware team if such changes are also necessary
- Set up local test equipment when reasonable to validate new changes
- Work with the QA team to describe how to test
- Deploy new features to the customer and assist with setup and roll-out
- Integrate with customers systems and hardware
- Follow software design company practices, including code review and automated builds
- Potentially engage the apps team if the customer requires a new application
Requirements:
- At Least 5+ years working as a Technical Product Owner
- Experience managing projects in an industrial/manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of software application development lifecycle
- Working with applications that are primarily web-based HTML/JS/CSS on the front end and C# or node on the back
- Ability to direct one or more others to achieve goals on time
- Excellent communication skills to keep customers and management highly informed
- Experience managing agile projects
