About Our Client
Our client, located in the Burlington area, is a public accounting firm looking for a Tax Manager to join their team! Reporting directly to the Partner, the Tax Manager's tasks will follow:
Responsibilities
- Plan and organize the preparation of tax returns, document, and present tax research
- Research tax issues and present conclusions to the shareholder or manager
- Offer tax compliance services and work closely with Partners to provide innovative tax planning ideas to a variety of clients
- Preparation of tax compliance, CRA audits, objections, and voluntary disclosure reports
- Review corporate, personal, T3, and foreign tax returns
- Lead and mentor junior staff
- Other ad-hoc duties are required
Qualifications
- CPA, CA, CGA, or CMA designated
- Completed In-Depth or MTax or very close
- 5+ years of tax experience including tax planning, tax compliance, corporate and personal returns
- 3+ years experience working in a small to medium size public accounting firm
- Experience using either CaseWare, Caseview, or TaxPrep
- Self-motivated individual with strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with various stakeholders
- Excellent time management and organizational skills to juggle multiple deadlines and engagements
