About the Firm:

Our client is a leader in the HR SAAS space, providing solutions to their client’s workforce to help improve employee satisfaction and retention. Essential Tasks:
  • Lead and manage existing tax implementation projects, and cooperate with various internal and external stakeholders on large project tax system implementation.
  • To help carry out a worldwide implementation of Avalar Tax Software
  • Direct, coordinate, and supervise the activities of the IT engineering and implementation group, both from a technical and functional standpoint
  • Develop scope and map out IT engineering services to all business units in the surrounding countries, ie) the U.K., Singapore, and Australia. Establish basic design criteria for the project, get Global Tax Manager approval on project technical documentation, technical specifications, flow diagrams to budgets, etc.
  • Assure compliance with the project schedule, control estimates, and indirect tax knowledge
  • Assign and review the work of the project roll-out team. Make suggestions if needed on other project-related people needed
  • Perform all other tasks that will help complete the project
Qualifications:
  • 4+ years experience with In-direct Tax knowledge and implementation exposure
  • CPA sales tax specialist a must or all other equivalent training
  • On-line marketplace exposure and experience an asset i.e. rebate and redemption work through an online offering
  • IT engineering cross-functional work in the past was a definite asset
  • Able to provide project plan experience in mapping out plan to budget
  • PMP designation an asset or some Team Lead implementation exposure
  • Good initiative, attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
