About our Client

Our client is a premier traffic control company providing solutions for municipalities, infrastructure projects, special events, and private contractors. They are looking for a Traffic Controller/ TCP to join their team on a permanent basis. As a Traffic Control Person (TCP), you play an important role in ensuring the safety of your fellow roadworkers, crews, and members of the public on the road. Pay Rate - $20 to $21

Responsibilities

  • Using hand signals and direction signs to direct traffic around road construction sites
  • Communicating with other flaggers using a hand-held radio to direct two-way traffic onto a single-lane
  • Informing the construction crew of any traffic issues that may affect their safety.
  • Appropriately positioning warning and detour signs around construction sites
  • Setting up and Removing all signs, barricades, and traffic cones along construction sites to cordon off certain areas.


Qualifications

  • No experience needed.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Must be reliable and hard-working.
  • Traffic Control Person License is an asset.
  • Sound knowledge of traffic regulations is an asset.
  • The ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Available for a minimum of 3 full days between Monday-Friday
  • Must have a valid driving license and access to your own vehicle to commute to different job sites.
