Position Title: Supply Chain & Production Manager (Hardware/Software)

Location: Ottawa, ON
Work Model: Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite

Our client is currently seeking Supply Chain & Production Manager to oversee the end-to-end production lifecycle of hardware and software products, ensuring timely, high-quality delivery while driving operational efficiency. This role requires a strong operational leader with experience in production planning, supply chain and vendor management, and people leadership. You will coordinate workflows from order intake through final shipment, implement process improvements, and collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, Finance, and Customer Success teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Production Planning & Workflow Management
  • Manage the full lifecycle of system builds from order intake to shipment.
  • Collaborate with Sales Managers to validate delivery timelines and customer quotes.
  • Ensure accuracy of customer purchase orders prior to ERP entry.

Supply Chain & Vendor Management
  • Forecast hardware and software requirements for product delivery.
  • Develop and manage supplier agreements; evaluate vendor performance and cost structures.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing to optimize the supply chain.

Logistics & Order Fulfillment
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments.
  • Support planning for site installations and complex deliveries.

Data, Systems & Financial Stewardship
  • Maintain Sales Order Catalog and manage workflows using ERP/MRP systems (Dynamics NAV preferred).
  • Oversee inventory and financial tracking related to production.

Leadership & People Management
  • Coach and develop team members, provide feedback, set expectations.
  • Lead staffing, onboarding, scheduling, and safety programs.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance team environment.

What Will Make You Stand Out:
  • 5+ years in production, operations, or manufacturing within a tech environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in supply chain and vendor management.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems; Dynamics NAV preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
