The Opportunity:

Our client is seeking a licensed P.Eng, Sr Project Manager to join their dynamic team in Richmond Hill. This role will be responsible for managing multiple projects concurrently while coordinating a group of Designers and Engineers within the project assigned.


The Responsibilities:

  • Proficiently manage and oversee several projects concurrently.
  • Conduct initial site assessments before starting in-depth design work, which includes evaluating current conditions and performing necessary measurements.
  • Develop comprehensive designs, create schematics, and produce detailed drawings and reports.
  • Guide and supervise a team of designers and CAD specialists, ensuring the timely completion of design documentation. This includes coordinating and managing workloads across various projects and ensuring design adherence to relevant Codes and Standards.
  • Perform regular on-site inspections of ongoing construction, and engage in constructive dialogue with clients and contractors.
  • Assess and approve shop drawings, respond to information requests, and maintain consistent project correspondence.
  • Demonstrate expertise in drafting clear and comprehensive reports.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and various HVAC-specific software tools (such as HAP, e-Quest, and selection tools for pumps and fans).
  • Utilize CAD software and other technological tools to engineer systems for diverse projects.
  • Actively participate in a variety of project meetings, team meetings, and technical discussions.

The Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of advanced experience in North American building services design, with PEO accreditation. Additional certifications like LEED-AP, CEM, or CBCP are highly regarded.
  • Well-versed in OBC and CSA standards related to building services.
  • Willingness and capability to travel within southern Ontario for site visits.
  • Competent in handling multiple projects with strong organizational skills.
  • Deep knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, and fire protection system design.
  • Skilled in AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and software for HVAC energy modeling, sizing, and selection.
  • Dedication to detailed, high-quality design practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in writing and verbally, with effective interpersonal capabilities.
