About the Firm:

A local CA firm needing to grow. Primarily working on Tax and Bookkeeping opportunities with a number of clients from different industries and size.

Essential Tasks:

To grow the business we're going to have to adopt a full development role and therefore will need a CPA to assume responsibility of file review and oversight. We expect to maintain ultimate accountability and manage the relationship with the client.

Key for this role is to have a solid depth of understanding of estate and trust taxes. Having an equal strong understanding of corporate and personal taxes is also a requirement. A typically engagement they do not have complex situations given our client makeup. So while it is a nice to have to potentially expand services, it isn't something that they encounter. One thing to note is that other engagements do come from a partner firm where we can get support as required for these engagements materialize.

The role is catered for a person with Principle aspirations. However there is an opportunity for the successful person to author another role that meets everyone's needs and goals in this firms operative.

This role is tied to growth our client would like to have compensation linked. They are thinking that depending on the seniority of the person they would entertain a range of salary expectations.

Qualifications:

- CPA designated
- CFE qualified will work if date for the exam is apparent
- T3 Tax Cert
- Excellent communicator
- Versed on software that is Tax related. ie. Taxprep, UFile etc.
- Willing to be client facing is key
