Job Description

Are you a CPA with an audit firm background and IFRS 1-17 expertise? Our client is seeking a talented Senior Financial Analyst – Reporting & Policy to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work on financial reporting, policy implementation, IFRS/US GAAP compliance, and technical accounting projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the consolidation and preparation of financial statements and note disclosures.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with IFRS and US GAAP.
  • Research and resolve accounting and reporting issues across the organization.
  • Lead accounting policy changes and their implementation in ERP and reporting systems.
  • Provide technical accounting expertise and training to business stakeholders.
  • Manage IFRS and US GAAP projects, including the adoption of new standards.
  • Prepare technical accounting memos on topics such as joint control, business combinations, levies, pensions, and AROs.

Key Competencies & Qualifications:

  • CPA designation.
  • Strong IFRS and US GAAP reporting experience.
  • Audit firm experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of SOX and internal controls.
  • Experience with accounting within manufacturing or construction industries is an asset.
  • Strong systems knowledge and ability to leverage ERP systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage projects and implement accounting policy changes effectively.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications; ERP experience is an asset.
