About Our Client:
This innovative Technology based company located in GTA West, is seeking a seasoned Senior SVP - Technology with strong Java expertise to lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance software solutions. This role requires deep technical acumen, strategic problem-solving skills, and the ability to bridge the gap between business needs and technology.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and enhance Java-based security applications, APIs, and microservices.
- Work with RESTful APIs, OAuth, JWT, SAML, and other authentication protocols.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security in cloud environments.
- Conduct architecture reviews, security assessments, and performance optimizations to enhance system reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, DevOps, and cybersecurity teams, to ensure seamless system integration.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, guiding them in implementing secure and efficient architectures.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, encryption technologies, and data protection regulations (e.g., PCI DSS) and integrate them into solution design.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in software development, with at least 10 years focused on Java-based solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and API security (OAuth, JWT, SAML, etc.).
- Deep understanding of cloud security architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Strong background in DevSecOps, CI/CD, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code.
