Our Client, a leading boutique firm in Burlington is looking for a new Senior Tax Analyst to join their team; offering qualified professional hands-on experience.
As a Senior Tax Analyst you will be responsible for:
• Collaborate with the tax team to assist with tax planning strategies and support for clients.
• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, trusts and occasional partnerships, ensuring
accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct research on complex tax matters, providing recommendations for clients’ tax strategies while
ensuring compliance with relevant tax legislation and regulations.
• Prepare capital dividend elections.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax legislation changes and ensure proper implementation in client work.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by delivering personalized service and proactive
communication.
• Correspond with the Canada Revenue Agency regarding pre-assessment reviews, notices of assessment,
and post-assessment reviews.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other financial reports as needed.
• Participate in the development of internal tax training to improve team capabilities.
• Other duties, as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate will have be in the final stages of their CPA our designatedwill required to have:
- 2+ years of tax experience within a public accounting firm
- Pursuing CPA; CFE passed or further along
- Understanding of ASPE standards
- Planning or enrolled in In-Depth Tax Program
