About the Firm:

Our client is a leader in the HR SAAS space, providing solutions to their client’s workforce to help improve employee satisfaction and retention is looking for a number of Senior Software Engineers to join their team on a full time and permanent role.

Responsibilities:

• Applying creative problem-solving that brings software designs to life.
• Designing, coding, unit testing and integrating new features and functionality.
• Working with Product Managers and the team to refine stories and breakdown work accordingly.
• Coach and Mentor junior and intermediate engineers in engineering bet practices.
• Stay up to date on emerging technologies and corporate engineering guidelines, best practices, processes and tools, and be a mentor to the team members
• Collaborate with other teams to proactively identify and manage dependencies
• Hands-on with our codebase and deeply involved in code reviews
• Support cross functional teams as the subject matter expert of our domain
• See all solutions through a security lens and make our solutions safe from get go
• Performing various investigative “Spikes” to mitigate technical uncertainty and risk.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in computer science or Masters in Computer Science or related field
• 6+ years’ experience with a software development experience in enterprise-level environment
• Experience with agile development methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Working primarily in Python, Go, Node.js, PHP & React
• Experience with GCP, Pub/Sub, Kubernetes or similar technologies.
• Proficient in a relational and NoSQL databases such as MySQL and MongoDB
• Ability and proven track record creating designs that scale.
• Your experience demonstrates that you take ownership of your growth, proactively seeking feedback from your team, your manager, and your stakeholders.
• Willingness to learn new emerging technologies and keep up with the latest frameworks and APIs
• Experience with agile development methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
