About Our Client:
Our client is seeking a professional Senior Property Accountant with a minimum of 2 years experience in accounting and/or business administration.
Responsibilities
- Manage accurate financial records for stakeholders
- Execute monthly accounting close processes
- Perform full cycle of accounts payable including submitting entries, cheque issuance, addressing vendor-related inquiries
- Record monthly budget variances and cash flow
- Schedule monthly budget reviews
- Organize daily transactions such as loans and wire requests
- Support senior executives regarding financial analysis
- Prepare compliance filings (HST, Corporate Tax, etc)
- Collaborate with external accountants regarding year-end financials
- Support with permanent loan financing
- Participate in the preparation of annual budget submissions
- Manage monthly financials and compliance reporting
- Prepare quarterly and annual compliance reporting
- Prepare and distribute monthly investor distributions
Qualifications
- CPA, CA or CPA or actively enrolled in the CPA program
- Post-secondary education with a specialty in Accounting or Business Administration
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role and/or accounting and tax experience
- Detail-oriented, professional, and organized
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong knowledge of working Yardi (asset)
- Bilingual ( French required )
