Our well-established client in the environmental industry is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their dynamic and growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a critical part in managing business systems and leading complex, multi-faceted projects.
The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, support, training, and maintenance of business system software for end users.
This is a permanent, fulltime opportunity based out of their Vaughan office (3 days onsite).
Key Responsibilities
- Utilize Microsoft Project to effectively track and manage project timelines and deliverables.
- Lead and coordinate multiple interdependent projects simultaneously.
- Manage geographically dispersed and virtual project teams.
- Ensure project initiatives align with overarching organizational goals.
- Facilitate meetings and document key outcomes and action items.
- Prepare and present comprehensive status reports to internal and external stakeholders, including executive and steering committees.
- Ensure timely completion of project deliverables within defined scope, budget, and quality parameters.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues proactively.
- Demonstrate strong collaboration and communication skills across teams and departments.
Additional Responsibilities
- Provide assistance in managing IT support call volume.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Tools & Technology
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Project).
- Familiarity with JDEdwards and Soft-Pak systems is considered an asset.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage individual workload independently while coordinating priorities across multiple teams.
- Deep understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Proven ability to develop and manage detailed project plans and adhere to timelines.
- Strong customer service orientation with a high level of professionalism.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Proficient in analysis and reporting.
- PMP certification is an asset.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a related field—or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in project management and business systems implementation.
