About Our Client:
This innovative Technology based company located in GTA West, is looking for a Senior Networking Specialist.
Responsibilities:
• Network Design and Implementation:
• Plan, design, and implement secure network architectures to protect against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
• Configure and maintain firewalls, routers, switches, and other network devices to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Security Monitoring:
• Monitor network traffic for anomalies and potential security breaches.
• Respond to and mitigate security incidents, and assist in forensic investigations.
• Network Security Policies:
• Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures in line with industry best practices and compliance standards.
• Intrusion Detection and Prevention:
• Implement intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDPS) to detect and prevent unauthorized access to the network.
• Vulnerability Assessment:
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security weaknesses.
• Network Documentation:
• Maintain detailed network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and security policies.
• Client Collaboration:
• Work closely with clients to understand their security requirements and provide tailored solutions.
• Team Collaboration:
• Collaborate with our cybersecurity experts to provide integrated solutions for our clients.
Requirements:
• Professional certifications such as Juniper JNCIA, CompTIA Network+, or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) is a plus
• Proven experience in network administration and security, including firewall and IDS/IPS management
• Experienced in planning, design, and implementing secure network architectures to protect against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
• Strong experience with Juniper Networks
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, topologies, and security best practices
• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR)
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Mac OS Experience is a plus
• Start-up experience is an asset
