Our Client is a well established global company, seeking a Senior Manager, Finance who will play a key role in a one‑year enterprise-wide initiative to transition the organization’s financial reporting framework from IFRS to US GAAP. Reporting to the Vice President, Finance, this role will collaborate closely with corporate finance, regional teams, and financial systems specialists to ensure data readiness, support reporting redesign, participate in system testing, and prepare comparative financial information required for the conversion. The position is critical in enabling a smooth transition from IFRS to US GAAP and ensuring high-quality financial outputs throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead core workstreams supporting the organization’s IFRS-to-US GAAP conversion, including data preparation, reporting alignment, system testing, and comparative financial analysis.
  • Partner with corporate and regional finance teams to collect, validate, cleanse, and upload financial data in accordance with project timelines and quality expectations.
  • Define reporting requirements and support the development, testing, validation, and issue resolution for updated management and financial reporting outputs.
  • Prepare comparative pro forma financial statements and analytical bridges reconciling IFRS results to US GAAP requirements.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including process narratives, validation support, testing evidence, issue logs, and reporting specifications to meet SOX, internal audit, and external audit standards.
  • Support the first two quarterly closes under US GAAP, including issue resolution and development of supplemental reports and validation tools.
  • Provide ongoing project updates, escalate risks or data concerns, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and perform additional analytical tasks as required to ensure project success.

The ideal candidate brings a strong professional accounting foundation, deep technical knowledge of both IFRS and US GAAP, and substantial experience navigating complex finance, reporting, or transformation environments. You have spent at least eight years progressing through roles in accounting, consolidations, financial reporting, or project‑based finance initiatives, and are comfortable working with large data sets, financial systems, and cross‑functional teams. You excel in analytical review, documentation, and structured problem‑solving, and thrives in fast‑moving project settings where priorities shift and collaboration is essential. Advanced Excel capabilities and familiarity with enterprise consolidation or reporting platforms further strengthen your ability to contribute meaningfully from day one. Strong communication skills—particularly in coordinating across regions, corporate functions, and technology teams—will be critical. The role is designed for someone who performs best in an in‑office environment, with a minimum on‑site presence of four days per week.

What Will Make You Stand Out:

  • Demonstrated experience supporting or leading an IFRS‑to‑US GAAP conversion or similar accounting policy transformation.
  • Hands‑on expertise with consolidation/reporting systems such as OneStream, Cognos Controller, HFM, or comparable platforms.
  • A track record of building robust documentation packages that satisfy SOX, internal audit, and external audit requirements.
  • Exceptional ability to manage competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy, clarity, and strong stakeholder communication.
