HR Manager

This role will oversee HR and administrative activities for the Mississauga location. This role provides guidance and oversight of key HR functions, including:

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruit, interview, and hire new employees while ensuring a smooth onboarding process and ongoing training to support their success.
- Lead and provide guidance to the HR, Payroll, Health & Safety, Customer Service, and Administration teams, ensuring efficiency and alignment with company goals.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement HR strategies related to recruitment, employee retention, and succession planning.
- Provide support on complex HR matters, including workplace accommodations, employee investigations, and termination procedures, ensuring compliance with policies.
- Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual HR reports to track key workforce metrics and inform business decisions.
- Manage payroll processing in coordination with Finance, oversee salary reviews, and ensure pay structures remain fair and competitive.
- Oversee employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and plan improvements to enhance employee satisfaction and compliance.
- Facilitate training and professional development programs, ensuring employees have access to skill-building opportunities and required certifications.
- Conduct performance evaluations, support career growth planning, and work with managers on talent development initiatives.
- Ensure workplace health and safety compliance by overseeing safety committees, addressing concerns, and maintaining updated policies.
- Lead employee engagement initiatives such as recognition programs, satisfaction surveys, and action plans to foster a positive workplace culture.
- Address employee relations matters, mediate conflicts, and oversee disciplinary actions and investigations while ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.
- Maintain compliance with federal and provincial employment laws, regularly reviewing and updating policies as needed.
- Assist with HR budget planning, salary benchmarking, and evaluating payroll systems to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Oversee administrative operations, office management, company branding initiatives, and corporate events to support internal engagement and branding efforts.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of HR experience.
- Proficiency in HR software (e.g., BambooHR, SAP).
- Strong business acumen and advisory skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
