About the Role:

Our client within the Real Estate industry is seeking a dedicated and skilled finance professional to provide critical support in accounting, financial analysis, and reporting, focusing on monthly financial results, budgeting, and year-end activities.

  • Prepare, analyze, and distribute monthly financial reports
  • Conduct cash flow analysis and create projections
  • Contribute to technology projects and assist with the implementation of new systems
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, financial analytics, and accounting processes
  • Support year-end procedures by preparing the necessary documentation and conducting financial analysis
  • Provide secondary support for general accounting tasks, including reviewing and approving journal entries, processing accounts payable, and managing banking transactions
  • Assist in the preparation of periodic and year-end financial statements, including related notes
  • Work closely with project accounting teams to ensure accurate reporting and financial tracking
  • Maintain an understanding of consolidated financial statements and related processes
  • Participate in special projects as assigned by management
  • Perform other related tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, and reporting, preferably within the Real Estate Development industry
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce is required
  • CPA designation or pursuing is preferred. Equivalent designations accepted
  • Experience with IFRS reporting standards preferred
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to offer practical financial recommendations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective organizational and project management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities to meet deadlines
  • Experience with financial software and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems
