About the Role:

Our client, a large publicly traded organization with international operations, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting to join its corporate finance team. Reporting to the Manager of External Reporting, this role will play a key part in the preparation of public company financial reporting deliverables, technical accounting assessments, and quarterly reporting processes.

This position offers excellent exposure to IFRS reporting, complex accounting matters, senior leadership, and external auditors within a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS, including supporting schedules, disclosures, and related documentation.
  • Support the preparation of Management Discussion & Analysis (MD&A), including analysis of financial results and non-GAAP/non-IFRS measures.
  • Prepare financial analysis and management reporting packages, including commentary on key business drivers and variances.
  • Research and evaluate complex accounting matters and emerging accounting standards, preparing technical accounting memoranda and supporting documentation.
  • Review financial reporting submissions from various business units to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of consolidated cash flow reporting.
  • Support quarterly and annual audit processes by coordinating requests and preparing supporting schedules.
  • Work closely with finance teams across multiple jurisdictions to gather and validate reporting information.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to financial reporting processes, systems, controls, and automation.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and support staff as required.
