Job Description

Our client, a leading not-for-profit organization, is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst (CPA) to join their Finance team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who excels in financial analysis, reporting, and partnering with stakeholders to support strategic decision-making. This opportunity offers a hybrid model with only 1 day in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.

  • Conduct variance analysis, identify financial drivers, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.

  • Support annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial planning.

  • Collaborate with business units to ensure budgets and assumptions align with strategic goals.

  • Lead audit support, reconciliations, and documentation for external auditors.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and organizational policies.

  • Drive process improvements in reporting, planning, and financial governance.

Qualifications:

  • CPA designation (mandatory).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting/finance (public accounting experience).

  • Strong knowledge of ASNPO (accounting standards for not-for-profit), investment accounting, and complex revenue recognition.

  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, modelling, formulas) and ERP experience.

  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Collaborative, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
