About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced and driven Senior Business Analyst to join their Financial Systems team on a one-year contract. Reporting to the Director, Financial Systems, this role will be the primary point of contact for end users, providing hands-on support for their financial platforms, including Oracle NetSuite and OneStream, while helping to optimize processes and maintain system integrity. This role will bridge the gap between Finance and IT while driving efficiencies.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver day-to-day user support for NetSuite and other financial applications.
- Apply knowledge of ERP functionality across finance, procurement, and inventory modules to resolve issues and answer user questions.
- Maintain and update master data records, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Build process maps using MS Visio and document standard operating procedures and user guides.
- Oversee user roles and permissions, enforce access controls, and maintain audit-ready system records.
- Manage system changes in line with established change management policies.
- Conduct periodic system reviews and approvals on a quarterly basis.
- Support process improvement initiatives and lead minor system enhancements.
- Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate system changes before deployment.
- Partner with Finance, Operations, and other departments to understand system needs and propose solutions.
- Assist with the rollout of new systems and data migration activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (CPA designation is a strong asset).
- Minimum of 5 years’ progressive accounting experience with exposure as a finance system “super-user.”
- Hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite or a comparable ERP; OneStream experience is an advantage.
- Track record supporting system implementations, upgrades, or process improvement projects.
- Solid grasp of accounting standards and financial controls.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in MS Visio, Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office tools; familiarity with SharePoint and Microsoft Apps is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a dynamic environment.
