We are seeking a talented Senior Business & Data Analyst to provide advanced analytics, data validation, and visualization support for Finance-led initiatives. This role will transform clinical, operational, and financial data into actionable insights that support executive decision-making, strategic planning, cost optimization, and operational improvement. While this position is hybrid, the role will require up to 5 days in the office when required.
Responsibilities
- Advanced Data Analytics: Analyze complex clinical, operational, and financial data to identify trends, cost drivers, performance opportunities, and risks.
- Data Integration & Validation: Extract, integrate, reconcile, and validate data from multiple systems to ensure accurate and reliable reporting.
- Executive Reporting & Visualization: Develop Power BI dashboards and visualizations and translate findings into clear recommendations for senior leadership.
- Financial Analysis: Support forecasting, monthly variance analysis, financial reporting, and commentary for assigned programs and departments.
- Business Cases & Special Projects: Lead cost-benefit analyses and financial modelling for cost savings, process optimization, and other strategic initiatives.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to automate, standardize, and improve data and reporting processes.
- Business Partnership: Work closely with Finance, Operations, Digital & Data teams, and business leaders to provide decision support and improve operational performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of experience in data analysis, ideally within healthcare, public sector, or a complex operational environment.
- Advanced Excel, including Power Query and data modelling, is required.
- Power BI experience is strongly preferred.
- Working knowledge of SQL is an asset.
- Strong financial analysis, forecasting, and business case development skills.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear financial and strategic insights.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiences.
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, independent, and comfortable working with complex or ambiguous data.
