Job Description
Our Client is looking for a Senior Accounting Technician to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of client bookkeeping, reconciliation of accounts, financial statements, and various income tax returns.
As a Senior Accounting Technician, you will be performing full-cycle accounting, bookkeeping, and preparing compilation engagements for clients in a variety of industries. You will be preparing regulatory compliance filings such as HST, payroll, T4, and T5 slips. You will also assist the firm with the preparation of T3 estate returns, and T1 personal tax returns during tax season. You will also be a key point of contact in CRA correspondence on behalf of clients.
The Ideal Candidate will be a self-starter and strong problem-solver. You will have post-secondary education in accounting and will have multiple years of practical experience in bookkeeping and/or corporate year-end preparation. You will be comfortable managing tight deadlines, and multiple projects, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
