Our client, a dynamic investment management firm located in Downtown Toronto, is on the lookout for a talented individual to join their financial team as a Senior Accountant. Known for their strategic expertise in advancing diverse business ventures, their dedication lies in ensuring operational excellence and financial strength. Reporting directly to the VP of Finance, this pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity for professionals keen on making a meaningful impact in a vibrant and forward-thinking organizational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Uphold the integrity and precision of financial data and reporting.
  • Develop and manage financial records, including meticulous transaction logs and balance sheets.
  • Generate and assess budget forecasts and financial strategies.
  • Supervise financial operations spanning multiple business units.
  • Facilitate and oversee regular audits, collaborating closely with external audit partners.
  • Ensure compliance with pertinent financial regulations and standards.
  • Liaise with external tax consultants and accounting service providers.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial presentations and reports for senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
  • Exposure to Real Estate, Private Equity and Investment management is considered an asset but not required.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical acumen.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills required.
  • Prior experience in overseeing finances for multiple entities is preferred.
  • CPA designation or progress toward required.
  • Must possess legal authorization to work in Canada.
