About our Client

Our client is an impressive, fast-growing, and family-owned Accounting firm based in Dawson Creek. Our Client is currently seeking an impressive and enthusiastic permanent REMOTE SENIOR ACCOUNTANT to add value and help the firm grow even more! This position plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of our financial reporting and fostering a culture of excellence within our team. Salary Ranges from 100-120+K with early partnership opportunity (1-3 years) for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Staff Training & Support: Provide training, mentorship, and ongoing support to junior accounting staff, helping them develop their skills and ensuring they meet professional standards.
  • Engagement Review: Review compilation and review engagements to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, firm policies and quality assurance manual, providing constructive feedback to improve the quality of work.
  • Financial Record Management: Oversee the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP and industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and recommend best practices to increase efficiency and accuracy within the team.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide insights and support for various financial projects and initiatives.

Qualifications:
  • CPA
  • Be a great fit for our current team.
  • Looking for an opportunity to advance to partner within the firm in a relatively short period of time.
  • Have 3 – 5 years of post-CPA graduate experience in public practice in a manager role.
  • Be proficient with working with Doc.It, CaseWare, Tax Cycle, Sage, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office.
  • Be comfortable working in a paperless environment utilizing Doc.It
  • Good communicator both verbally and through various communication platforms.
  • Have the ability to problem solve, time manage, and work independently.
  • Carry themselves in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Able to travel to Dawson Creek every two months
