Salary Ranges from 100-120+K with early partnership opportunity (1-3 years) for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Staff Training & Support: Provide training, mentorship, and ongoing support to junior accounting staff, helping them develop their skills and ensuring they meet professional standards.
- Engagement Review: Review compilation and review engagements to ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, firm policies and quality assurance manual, providing constructive feedback to improve the quality of work.
- Financial Record Management: Oversee the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP and industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and recommend best practices to increase efficiency and accuracy within the team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide insights and support for various financial projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- CPA
- Be a great fit for our current team.
- Looking for an opportunity to advance to partner within the firm in a relatively short period of time.
- Have 3 – 5 years of post-CPA graduate experience in public practice in a manager role.
- Be proficient with working with Doc.It, CaseWare, Tax Cycle, Sage, QuickBooks, Microsoft Office.
- Be comfortable working in a paperless environment utilizing Doc.It
- Good communicator both verbally and through various communication platforms.
- Have the ability to problem solve, time manage, and work independently.
- Carry themselves in a professional and ethical manner.
- Able to travel to Dawson Creek every two months
