Job Description

Working with a team of over 250 Full-time employees, top contractors. And professionals, we have built more than 8, 000 Tarion certified homes, 4, 000 condominiums, and several retirement homes totalling 500 suites. They are currently looking for a Senior Accountant who can proactively identify, analyze, evaluate, and solve accounting issues with minimal supervision.
We have an immediate role for a Senior Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting Team. The senior accountant will perform all full-cycle general accounting duties. Daily responsibilities would include journal entries, updating, verifying and maintaining accounting journal, ledger and other financial records. Analysis of general ledger accounts. Review gross margins and work in progress, Budget vs. Actuals, and prepare reporting as required with all supporting documentation. End-of-year fiscal documentation will also be expected.
The Ideal candidate will have obtained a post-secondary education with a concentration in business or accounting with a minimum of 3 years of accounting experience. The candidate must be a conscientious and critical thinker who is a self-starter and can proactively identify, analyze, evaluate, and solve accounting issues with minimal supervision. This role calls for strong knowledge of Excel and the ability to prioritize and manage tasks.
