About Our Client:
Our client is seeking a professional Senior Accountant, Corporate Reporting with a minimum of 3+ years of industry or firm experience ideally in Big 4 and/or residential real estate.
Responsibilities
- Execute month-end and quarter-end closing procedures
- Work with the US internal team during month-end and quarter-end close, review results, and support the transition from US GAAP to IFRS
- Organize account reconciliations and variance analytics
- Submit journal entries such as eliminations, intercompany and more
- Support corporate financial statements, MD&A, and supplemental disclosures
- Support new joint ventures and securitization transactions
- Create and manage financial statements for internal and external stakeholders
- Strong understanding of IFRS and other accounting standards
- Onboard and train junior staff.
- Assist with special and ad hoc projects as required
Qualifications
- Must be a CPA or on track to become a CPA
- Minimum 3 years of industry or firm experience (Big 4 preferred)
- Residential real estate experience (ideal)
- Background of IFRS accounting and financial reporting
- Background of US GAAP accounting (ideal)
- SOX experience (ideal)
- Experience working with consolidation and elimination entries (ideal)
- Excellent communication skills, detail-oriented and professional
- Ability to work both independently and with a team
