A growing rural fiber-to-the-premise (FTTX) provider is seeking a motivated Business Development Manager to play a critical role in expanding its presence across rural Manitoba.
The successful candidate will join a Business Markets team composed of Account Executives, Business Sales Customer Support, Sales Directors focused on Public Sector and Carrier clients, along with collaborative support from customer care, marketing, project management, and other departments.

Fiber technology is widely recognized as the most future-proof broadband infrastructure, offering virtually unlimited potential for speed and data throughput—essential to the growth of cloud services, mobile communications, and emerging technologies like AI.
We're looking for a “hunter” style sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys identifying new business opportunities and is motivated by results.
Achieve monthly and annual sales quotas, including a target of generating over $7,000 in Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) from new opportunities each month.
Initiate and attend sales meetings with both prospective and existing clients.
Assess clients’ business needs and identify how customized fiber solutions can meet those requirements.
Collaborate with the sales support team to:
Prepare proactive proposals or RFP responses
Ensure proposals align with client needs
Address both business and technical questions
Full-time position (minimum 40 hours/week)
Combination of office-based work (in Winkler, Steinbach, Lockport, or Winnipeg) and client site visits across a rural Manitoba territory
Travel is expected, especially early in the role, as you build and nurture your client base
Occasional work outside standard business hours may be required to attend customer events or meetings
Undergraduate degree in business, commerce, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in B2B sales, ideally in telecommunications or a related field
Demonstrated success in achieving or surpassing sales targets
Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team
Familiarity with telecommunications technologies, including fiber optic and wireless networks
Understanding of the needs and challenges faced by rural Manitoba businesses
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Proficiency in preparing presentations, proposals, and reports
