Job Description

The Bilingual Leasing Team Lead plays a key role in driving leasing success and fostering a high-performance sales culture. Operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, this role combines leadership and sales expertise. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coaching a leasing team while achieving leasing and vacancy targets across a designated portfolio of residential buildings.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Leasing Leadership:

  • Assist in the development and execution of leasing and marketing strategies.

  • Promote adherence to leasing standards while encouraging innovation and knowledge sharing.

  • Set and manage individual and team leasing goals, while achieving personal sales and vacancy targets.

  • Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and coaching to enhance the team’s sales effectiveness.

  • Support onboarding of new Leasing Consultants through job shadowing and continuous feedback.

  • Conduct follow-ups with prospects who haven’t yet leased to increase conversion rates.

  • Collaborate with site teams to maintain and report on Rent Ready status of suites.

  • Perform regular spot checks across the portfolio to ensure suite readiness and identify issues.

  • Conduct weekly “street-to-suite” building inspections to monitor curb appeal and brand standards.

  • Ensure model suites are always presented to the highest standard.

  • Gather and communicate market intelligence, including customer feedback, sales challenges, and competitor promotions.

  • Assist in completing and analyzing quarterly market surveys and mystery shops; present findings to leadership.

  • Participate in quarterly developmental reviews for team members, measuring progress and aligning future goals.

  • Provide detailed market and customer feedback to the broader sales and marketing team.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Post-secondary education in sales, business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proven track record of 3–5 years in a sales environment.

  • Experience in residential leasing or property management is an asset; transferable sales skills are essential.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams, with a focus on coaching and performance development.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for mentoring and developing others.

  • Customer-focused mindset with a genuine interest in helping people find their next home.

  • Proactive and solutions-oriented, with a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Adaptable and flexible to evolving priorities and organizational needs.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Yardi or similar property management software is an asset.
