Our client is the largest privately-owned company that offers access to a broad range of electrical distribution products and services. To support this exponential growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join their dynamic team in a full-time permanent position. This position will run from Monday to Friday and offer a competitive salary depending on the experience. Salary - $110K to $115

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support production teams in solving quality issues like product recalls, customer complaints, and non-conforming materials by identifying and addressing root causes.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing sites to improve quality by reducing risks and variability, standardizing processes, and implementing error-proofing measures.
  • Support new product launches by ensuring quality is built into design, testing, control plans, and risk management strategies.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement to boost customer satisfaction and meet business goals.
  • Analyze quality data and prepare reports for management review.
  • Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to review technical documents like DFMEAs, PFMEAs, DFM, and dimensional reports.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical product and process issues across various product lines.
  • Lead corrective actions, process improvements, and design updates.
  • Provide expert guidance in using Six Sigma tools, statistical methods, and best practices.
  • Mentor junior quality engineers and support their development.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and evolving best practices.
  • Perform other related duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in science or engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 8–10 years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in the electrical or electronics manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools and methods such as 8D, DOE, FMEA, Measurement System Analysis, and Gage R&R.
  • Advanced skills in statistical analysis and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook).
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is required; Black Belt is a plus.
  • Familiarity with UL/CSA standards and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
  • Proven leadership abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
