About Our Client

Our client is a leading snow and ice management service provider in the Greater Vancouver area. They focus on keeping properties safe and accessible during winter by efficiently managing snow and ice hazards. They are currently building a roster of Salters to support seasonal operations as winter weather occurs.

Pay: $20/hour
Locations: North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Downtown Vancouver
Note: This position is for candidates to be added to the seasonal roster and called in when needed.

Responsibilities

• Spread salt, sand, or other de-icing materials on sidewalks, walkways, driveways, and other designated areas.
• Ensure ice melt or grit is applied evenly to prevent slips and improve safety.
• Respond promptly to winter weather events and complete assigned routes efficiently.
• Work closely with the snow removal team to coordinate efforts for maximum coverage.
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report any hazards, maintenance issues, or unusual conditions observed during shifts.

Qualifications

• Ability to work outdoors in cold and snowy conditions.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours during winter events.
• Strong work ethic and attention to safety.
• Previous experience with snow or ice management is an asset but not required.
• Ability to safely handle salt, sand, or other de-icing materials and associated equipment.
