About Our Client

Our client is a government-funded long-term care home, and they are looking for a Reporting Analyst for an immediate 6-month contract. This role can be remote if you have all the required qualifications. You must have a working knowledge of financial reporting within a government-funded long-term care home.

Responsibilities

As the Reporting Analyst your primary task will be to report on a number of envelopes for the Ministry of Health quarterly and annual reporting, including but not limited to nursing, programs, other accommodations, raw food, etc. The Reporting Analyst will have knowledge of what expenses are eligible against restricted funding. The Reporting Analyst will have knowledge of best practices for the long-term care homes reporting structure and will assist in mapping the GL and Chart of Accounts within the financial system. You will have expertise in the different funding allocations, and line items, and how to properly and efficiently account for each in order to report back to the government. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of financial systems (including departmental subsystems) ensuring effective internal controls for revenues, expenditures, and financial reporting. The Reporting Analyst must have advanced Excel.

Qualifications

You must be a CPA

You must have at least 2 years of experience working as a Reporting Analyst, Financial Analyst, or Senior Accountant within a Long Term Care Home or hospital environment.

Experience in transactional, full-cycle accounting and analysis for a long-term care home

Advanced Excel

Willingness to step in, and help wherever needed.
