Our client is seeking an experienced Residential Property Manager to join their growing team. As the Property Manager, you will play a key role in day-to-day site operations and serve as the primary point of contact for tenants. You will be responsible for leasing activities, rent collection, tenant relations, and coordinating maintenance and contractor services. This role is critical in representing the organization, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring high occupancy across downtown Ottawa properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Show and lease apartments; prepare, review, and maintain lease agreements
- Act as the first point of contact for tenant inquiries and concerns
- Coordinate move-ins and move-outs
- Manage rent collection and outstanding receivables
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date tenant records
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance staff, building superintendents, and subcontractors
- Ensure maintenance requests are addressed in a timely manner
- Manage site budgets and support overall financial performance
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
The Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a residential property management environment
- Strong experience reviewing and executing leases and service contracts
- Proven customer service and tenant-facing experience
- Solid understanding of health & safety and environmental compliance requirements
- Experience with Yardi is considered an asset
