  • Support process improvements and other ad hoc accounting initiatives
  • For more senior opportunities, provide additional oversight of financial reporting, review the work of junior team members, and support training, mentoring, and supervision

Qualifications:

  • Previous commercial property accounting experience is required, ideally within commercial, retail, industrial, or mixed-use real estate portfolios
  • Experience requirements will vary based on the level of the opportunity:
    • Intermediate: Approximately 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience
    • Senior: Approximately 4–6+ years of relevant experience, with greater ownership of property accounting and reporting
    • Supervisor: Progressive property accounting experience, including review, oversight, and/or team leadership responsibilities
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • CPA designation completed or in progress is considered an asset but not required
  • Strong understanding of commercial property accounting, including tenant recoveries, budgeting, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with Property Managers, Asset Managers, and internal finance teams
