We've had the pleasure of assisting this global developer in building their Toronto team. They're reputable and known for their positive, inclusive culture. They've also brought this city some exciting, high-profile projects! If you're an experienced Project Accountant who enjoys complex, interesting work, this role could be a great fit for you!

Responsibilities

The Project Accountant will manage a broad scope of tasks, ranging from lease accounting to operations analysis. Responsibilities include but are not limited to
  • periodic financial and management reporting for asset managers, investors, and lenders
  • cash management and bank reconciliations
  • budgets and forecasts with variance commentary/analysis
  • GL maintenance, depreciation/amortization
  • lease set-up, rent calculations + schedules, recovery reconciliations

Requirements

Our client is seeking a professional who possesses
  • 2 or more years' relevant experience; full-cycle accounting, financial + management reporting, budgeting + forecasting
  • strong knowledge of IFRS and real-estate accounting experience
  • excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, a strong work ethic, and a collaborative approach
