Our reputable client in the environmental sector is seeking a Project Manager with experience overseeing the implementation of a broad range of initiatives using both waterfall and agile methodologies. Projects may include implementing Salesforce, launching new internal systems, introducing new products and services, and driving operational improvements.
Reporting to the ePMO Manager, this role is critical in managing the full project life cycle—from planning and execution through to go-to-market, post-implementation, and closure. The Project Manager is accountable for delivering initiatives on scope, schedule, and budget, while ensuring quality and alignment with ePMO standards and guidelines.
This is a hybrid role (3 days onsite) based out of their Vaughan office.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Governance
Adhere to established project governance and methodology, promoting and reinforcing consistent application across business and project teams.
Team Leadership
Build and lead cross-functional project teams, including both internal and external stakeholders.
Foster a collaborative environment based on trust, transparency, and accountability.
Communication
Tailor communication styles to suit different audiences, from technical teams to senior executives.
Manage stakeholder expectations and act as a liaison between sponsors and all relevant stakeholders.
Planning
Identify and engage all impacted stakeholders to thoroughly capture requirements and mitigate risks.
Participate in early-stage analysis, requirements gathering, cost estimation, solution design, and quality assurance.
Collaborate with technical teams and subject matter experts to define the technical vision and evaluate usability versus performance trade-offs.
Ensure proper documentation of project goals, requirements, and standards.
Develop a baseline project plan that includes critical path analysis and supports effective execution and change management.
Execution
Oversee project delivery against scope, budget, and timeline using cross-functional checkpoints, financial reviews, and status reporting.
Proactively address stakeholder concerns and ensure timely resolution of risks and issues.
Collaborate with vendors to ensure timely and high-quality delivery per the statement of work.
Implement change management processes when project scope changes.
Coordinate team members to ensure efficient execution and resource utilization.
Requirements:
Education
Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent), or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
Experience
Minimum of 4 years managing large, complex projects, preferably in waste management or technical environments (e.g., system integrations, replacements, or builds).
At least 2 years managing projects with agile methodologies such as Kanban, Scrum, or Lean.
Minimum of 3 years in requirements definition, feasibility studies, cost estimation, proposals, design, development, QA, SDLC, UAT, implementation, and go-to-market strategies.
Competencies:
Proficient in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) with a focus on accelerating time to value.
Strong background in business requirements gathering and full SDLC.
Deep understanding of operational readiness, change management, and go-to-market planning.
Experience with G Suite, Smartsheet, Monday.com, and JIRA.
Strong skills in project financial forecasting and cost control.
Strategic thinker with problem-solving abilities and a track record of innovative solutions.
Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to convey project scope, status, and risk clearly to leadership using a problem-solving approach.
Highly motivated, resourceful, and skilled in leadership, organization, analytics, troubleshooting, and conflict resolution.

PMP and/or ACP
Certified Scrum Master (CSM/SSM), Scaled Agilist (SA)
