ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client, a Vaughan-based corporation, is searching for a full-time Project Manager to join their high-performing dynamic team. If you are a motivated Project Management professional with experience within the Construction/Utility/Telecom sector this will be an exciting opportunity for you!

RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Project Manager you will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  • Estimating proposed small and medium size projects
  • Setting schedules for construction crews
  • Supervising a Project Administrator who performs clerical work (locates, H&S, project folders)
  • Organizing pre-construction meetings and outage schedules with Utility companies and 3rd party contractors
  • Attending pre-construction meetings, on-site and off-site
  • Tracking costs of ongoing jobs to stay within estimated budget-Billing completed jobs
  • Approving invoices
  • Tracking daily costs of T&M (cost plus) project types

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 years experience - Utility/Telecom and Construction Sector
  • Minimum College Level education
  • Diploma/degree focused in Business and a PMP certificate or Diploma in construction management
  • Experience managing a Project Administrator
  • Experience with project budgets and budget forecasting
  • Has experience with dealing with customers and providing excellent customer service
  • Requires a driver’s license, company vehicle will be provided for travelling to client sites
