Our reputable client in the investment sector is seeking a driven and experienced Project Manager to join their growing PMO team. In this role, you will lead business-driven initiatives—many with operational or change management focus, and occasionally involving IT components—from concept to close.
The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with a track record of leading cross-functional projects, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a passion for delivering measurable results.
This is a hybrid role based out of their Oakville office (2 days a week onsite).
Project Leadership & Execution
Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of assigned projects—from planning through implementation and closure.
Define and document project scope in collaboration with sponsors and stakeholders.
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
Facilitate effective meetings, decision-making, and resolution of risks or issues.
Communicate project status to stakeholders and leadership on a regular basis.
Oversee end-user testing and obtain implementation sign-offs when applicable.
Coordinate with vendors and third-party partners, advocating on behalf of the organization and project sponsors.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
Build strong relationships with internal teams to understand their operations, objectives, and project requirements.
Act as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for project stakeholders.
Navigate complex discussions and negotiate solutions to keep projects on track.
Support PMO Growth & Maturity
Contribute to the evolution of PMO tools, templates, and standards.
Champion the value of project management best practices across the organization.
Collaborate with business units to align projects, identify dependencies, and manage competing priorities.
Support the Senior Project Manager and SVP, Internal Operations with reporting and roadmap execution.
PMP designation (required)
5+ years of experience managing full lifecycle projects
Strong experience delivering both business and IT-focused initiatives
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive successful outcomes
Expertise in Waterfall and Agile methodologies and their application to business contexts
Proficient in project management software (e.g., Smartsheet or equivalent)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
Comfortable working in ambiguous or evolving environments
