Our reputable client in the investment sector is seeking a driven and experienced Project Manager to join their growing PMO team. In this role, you will lead business-driven initiatives—many with operational or change management focus, and occasionally involving IT components—from concept to close.

The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with a track record of leading cross-functional projects, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a passion for delivering measurable results.

This is a hybrid role based out of their Oakville office (2 days a week onsite).

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Execution

• Lead and manage end-to-end delivery of assigned projects—from planning through implementation and closure.

• Define and document project scope in collaboration with sponsors and stakeholders.

• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.

• Facilitate effective meetings, decision-making, and resolution of risks or issues.

• Communicate project status to stakeholders and leadership on a regular basis.

• Oversee end-user testing and obtain implementation sign-offs when applicable.

• Coordinate with vendors and third-party partners, advocating on behalf of the organization and project sponsors.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

• Build strong relationships with internal teams to understand their operations, objectives, and project requirements.

• Act as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for project stakeholders.

• Navigate complex discussions and negotiate solutions to keep projects on track.

Support PMO Growth & Maturity

• Contribute to the evolution of PMO tools, templates, and standards.

• Champion the value of project management best practices across the organization.

• Collaborate with business units to align projects, identify dependencies, and manage competing priorities.

• Support the Senior Project Manager and SVP, Internal Operations with reporting and roadmap execution.

Key Qualifications

• PMP designation (required)

• 5+ years of experience managing full lifecycle projects

• Strong experience delivering both business and IT-focused initiatives

• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive successful outcomes

• Expertise in Waterfall and Agile methodologies and their application to business contexts

• Proficient in project management software (e.g., Smartsheet or equivalent)

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities

• Comfortable working in ambiguous or evolving environments
