We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee daily manufacturing operations at our Burlington facility. This role leads three production-floor supervisors and is responsible for schedule attainment, capacity planning, labour optimization, team development, scrap reduction, and lean practices.
Develop and manage production schedules to meet deadlines and customer demand.
Coordinate raw material delivery timing and team work schedules.
Monitor daily performance, respond quickly to delays, equipment issues, or staffing shortages.
Identify operational bottlenecks and recommend continuous improvement solutions.
Partner with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality to support ETO project execution.
Align production plans with company objectives and collaborate with senior leadership.
Oversee routine maintenance and repair scheduling to ensure equipment uptime.
Support Kaizen activities through data collection, time studies, and sustainment.
Document standard work, procedures, and visual management tools.
Track, analyze, and report key production metrics (capacity, labour efficiency, scrap, OEE).
Report production performance, downtime, and efficiency to senior management.
Manage departmental budgets, control production costs, and drive productivity improvements.
Conduct performance reviews and create development plans for team members.
Support training and skill development across production teams.
Promote a strong safety culture.
Provide coaching, guidance, and accountability within a structured operating system.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, or Supply Chain.
5–10 years of manufacturing experience (industrial equipment, automotive, aerospace, medical devices, or similar).
At least 5 years implementing Continuous Improvement methodologies (TPM, Lean, Six Sigma).
Experience with project management and governance frameworks.
Skilled in root cause analysis, 5S audits, and leading daily tier meetings.
Strong ability to translate organizational goals into departmental plans, KPIs, and initiatives.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word; MRP/ERP experience preferred.
Strong communication, coaching, and influencing skills with a focus on employee development and performance management.
