About Our Client

Our client, a professional services firm located in downtown Toronto, is looking to hire a Product Manager on contract to cover a Maternity Leave till the end of March 2026.

Responsibilities:

- Develop product/service strategy & roadmap, formulate a business case to secure funds, lead the definition of high-level product/service business requirements, then work with business and technical teams to develop the RFP and execute the RFP process to source solutions development vendor.
- Work collaboratively with business stakeholders, IT teams, vendor partners and Program/Project Manager to ensure effective cross-functional execution of project/initiative, including facilitating detailed requirements/specification gathering, supporting design/engineering, planning/leading UAT test case development and testing, etc.
- Manage enhancement requests to the assigned product portfolio, allocate resources, and provide support.
- Develop and nurture relationships with Senior Leaders across the organization to better anticipate and understand their needs as well as provide updates and feedback on current solutions/projects/services.
- Develop and manage vendor relationships to keep abreast of vendor product/services changes, manage vendor’s performance to ensure quality deliverables, timely execution, and on-budget delivery.
- Mentor and support the growth of junior team members, providing guidance and directions to elevate the performance of the Solutions Management team to meet or exceed the team’s goals/objectives.

Requirements:

- A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience in Business Analysis or Product Management with a strong focus on Information Technology projects
- Advanced to expert knowledge of business analysis, business process management, quality assurance, project delivery practices, and standards across the project lifecycle
- Proven experience in software solution lifecycle methodology, including Agile and Waterfall development
- Outstanding communication and influencing skills required to drive dialogue with business partners, and to understand their underlying needs and requirements while managing their expectations given the limitations of the framework
- Seasoned vendor performance management skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and deal with ambiguity
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Engineering, Math, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- IIBA certification or equivalent
- Agile & SCRUM certification
- A strong leader who can think strategically, analyze data, and make decisions quickly.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively manage relationships with business users, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Comprehensive understanding of product development processes, an in-depth knowledge of the SDLC and Agile methodology, and the use of related tools (e.g. Jira, Visio, Confluence) to capture requirements, build test cases, etc.
- Product Management Framework
- Lean or Six Sigma certification
- ITIL Foundation certification
