Controller – Leading Manufacturing & Distribution Organization

Our client, a well-established and respected manufacturing and distribution organization, is seeking a Plant Controller to oversee financial operations at the plant level.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role reporting directly to the General Manager, responsible for ensuring accurate reporting, cost control, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee plant-level accounting and financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP, SOX, and corporate policies
• Partner with the General Manager to deliver timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results
• Lead month-end close activities including AP, AR, costing, inventory, and general accounting
• Drive cost control initiatives and provide actionable financial insights to support business goals
• Maintain and improve internal controls and participate in inventory counts and reconciliations
• Collaborate closely with corporate and plant teams to align reporting and performance metrics

Qualifications

• CPA designation (CMA, CGA, or CA) required
• 5+ years of progressive experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally in a management capacity
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting, inventory management, and operational finance
• Proven ability to work within multi-system environments with advanced Excel skills
• Exceptional communication, analytical, and leadership skills with a hands-on approach
