About our Client

Our client is a global leader in aviation security, with a mission to protect passengers, cargo, airport employees, and provide security to other parts of the air transportation system. They are looking to hire a Performance Officer for their team in Richmond. The Performance Officer is responsible for observing, recording, and reporting on the Screening Contractor's (SC) operational performance at the assigned airport, and various other designated airports, in accordance with all applicable policies, procedures, and directives. Salary Ranges from $61,716 - $77,145

Working Hours: current shift is 10 hr 4 days a week - either Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday. There are 3 shifts; 0430AM-1430, 0700-1700, 1400-2200.


Responsibilities

  • Monitor screening operations at Pre-board Screening (PBS), Hold Baggage Screening (HBS), and Non-Passenger Screening (NPS) checkpoints to ensure procedural compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Operational Bulletins and directives.

  • Monitors screening operations at Pre-board Screening (PBS), Hold Baggage Screening (HBS) and Non-
    Passenger Screening (NPS) checkpoints to ensure procedural compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Operational Bulletins and directives.
  • Operational Capacity, Efficiency and Effectiveness
  • Observe and report on daily trends associated with operational capacity, service delivery, and throughput efficiency at screening checkpoints.
  • Observes, records, and report on the effectiveness of SC management of checkpoint operations,
    including supervision and coaching.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education as related to the position.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience conducting inspections or monitoring in a highly regulated environment where compliance with operating standards and procedures is critical.
  • A minimum of one (1) year of experience writing reports and giving recommendations to management.
  • Must be able to qualify for Secret Security Clearance
  • Detail-oriented and able to make sound decisions in a fair, objective, and consistent manner with tight deadlines and under pressure
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills - report writing, giving recommendations to management
  • Ability to work well in a structured workplace, communicate effectively with a variety of audiences, and make recommendations
  • Ability to work with a number of software programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and mobile devices
  • Available to work shifts, overtime as required, and in an environment that operates 24/7 x 365 days/year
  • Very high attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
