About Our Client:
Our rapidly growing Toronto-based client in the Community Living accommodations and service space is looking for a Payroll Supervisor. The Payroll Supervisor will be responsible for the following tasks:
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for processing payroll for the growing company due to acquisitions
- Ensuring payroll is processed accurately and on time (hourly and salaried)
- Manage, lead, and implement a new payroll system
- Work closely with payroll and benefits administrator with day-to-day payroll duties along with the system implementation.
- Organize and implement year-end schedules
- Balance and remit bi-weekly and weekly payroll
- Prepare intercompany payroll entries
- Process new hires, terminations, ROEs, and other changes
- Track paid time off entitlements
- Manage employee benefits program
- Complete year-end activities such as T4s
- Maintain employee records and files
- Other projects as assigned
- Review, train, and mentor payroll and benefits administrator
- Perform monthly reconciliations of general ledger to bank statements
- Other duties/requirements as assigned
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of full-cycle payroll experience
- Experience managing a payroll team or being in a standalone payroll role
- Understanding of doing Ontario union payroll
- Proficient with Ceridian, ADP, UKG, or similar payroll software
- Must be a team player with strong leadership skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- CPM or PCP designated would be an asset
