Our Client, NFP is hiring a Payroll & Benefits Business Partner to join their team!
Overview:
- PCP-designated Payroll & Benefits professional with strong hands-on experience managing full-cycle Ontario payroll for diverse employee groups, ensuring strict compliance with CRA regulations, Income Tax Act requirements, CPP, EI, and applicable provincial legislation
- Proven track record of maintaining robust payroll governance, including internal controls, reconciliations, approvals, and audit readiness; experienced supporting internal, external, and regulatory payroll audits
- Advanced expertise in complex payroll processing, including retroactive pay, overtime, taxable benefits, allowances, and garnishments, with a strong focus on accuracy and risk mitigation
- Highly proficient in HRIS and payroll systems, including Dayforce/Ceridian, with demonstrated success in system configuration, upgrades, testing, and driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and data integrity
- Solid experience administering employee benefits programs (health, dental, disability, life, and retirement), ensuring accurate enrollments, deductions, remittances, and compliance with plan rules and legislation
- Strong cross-functional partner to HR and Finance, ensuring payroll alignment with the general ledger, resolving discrepancies, and delivering accurate financial reporting
- Recognized for exceptional attention to detail, ability to interpret complex legislation, and clear communication with internal stakeholders, auditors, and external vendors in highly regulated environments
Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years full-cycle payroll experience, ideally in NFP environment (nice to have)
- PCP designation
- PLP (in progress)
- Detailed oriented and strong analytical skills
