About our Client

Our client is a customer-focused group of companies driven by technology, specializing in the building products industry. With over 40 years in manufacturing, they are a well-established leader in their field. They are currently seeking a Production Manager to join their team.

Salary Ranges from 80 to 100K , Full Benefits and RRSP matching at 3%


Responsibilities

Ensure proper planning and control for all areas of responsibility in production, i.e. labour, overtime, equipment, production planning, and scheduling for the shift.
Enforce and comply with the Company’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
Participate in hiring processes as required and ensure completion and adherence to the Orientation Process, Targeted Training for skills gap and/or career development, Rules of Personal Conduct, and Progressive Discipline process.
Monitor production at regular intervals to ensure goals/targets are being achieved.
Contribute to effective production efficiency and recommend safety/production/process improvements to Department / Senior Management.
Prepare reports on the status of established KPIs and champion production-related continuous improvement projects.
Lead and participate in Kaizen events to ensure continuous improvement goals are being achieved.
Evaluate and audit existing safety standards and processes, as well as support and encourage the JHSC.
Ensure proper communication flow between employees and management.
Communicate with production staff daily and ensure proper communication flow between employees and management.
Provide coaching and mentoring for production supervisors and lead hands, including but not limited to health & safety, employee relations, and training & development.
Assess employee performance in all production areas and ensure all employees receive proper training.

Qualifications

A minimum of 2-3 years relevant work experience as a production supervisor is required.
Excellent communication skills
Positive Attitude
College diploma is required.
Preference will be given to candidates with a diploma or degree in an Engineering Program
